postcard journals

i've a habit of taking and hoarding freebie postcards with designs that speak to me. (tell me i'm not the only one!) over the years, i've collected a considerable stash of postcards, some of which i rotate on my inspiration board in my studio, but many of which sit untouched inside brown envelopes. there are some fabulously designed ones from japan and europe and toronto, and i've long wanted to do something with them.

so when i saw this idea via design*sponge last week, i was super excited to try it out! i set to work last night, using one-sided scrap paper instead of plain paper. it was so addictive...i couldn't stop at just one.

thirty minutes later i've a bunch of little scrap-paper postcard journals, perfect for my compulsive list-making tendencies. i'm planning to give them away to friends who could use a cute little memo book. and really, who couldn't?

Great idea! I love it. (You're not alone by the way...I hoard free postcards too!)
Ooohhh, they looks nice. I'll have to try it. And no, you are not the only one. I collect 'em for many, many years now.
This is such an excellent idea and they look great!
