Instant gratification
- - - - - - - - - -In between work and play, I found time to whip this up:

This little headband was modified from the crocheted flower scarf found in one of my beloved Japanese books. I made the scarf for Helen awhile ago and absolutely loved the pattern. It's simple and elegant and quick to make.

(go to my photo set on flickr to see more pages from this book.)
I love the fact that I started and finished this headband in less than 24 hours. It's nice to have breathers when you're working on projects that drag on, like this dratted retro laptop bag. It seems that I really will have a new laptop by the time this bag is finished. I've been eyeing the new macbooks...but I'm still waiting for a 14inch version to come out, because dammit, the new lappie needs to fit in this bag! Lol...
An absolutely delightful scanner recently made its way into my house, and so I will be putting up more scans from my Jap craft collection within the next few weeks. I'm looking to add more Jap craft books to my library soon! It's nice to be finally in the working world...meaning I get to spend without feeling guilty. Lookout, amazon.jp!
